This was the twenty-sixth year of this great event! The 15K Run, 5K Run/Walk, and 1 Mile Run events are held on the park's beautiful, gently rolling paved bike-hike trails. The 15K course has been awarded the RRCA state championship again year and is included in the Michigan Runner Race Series. BenefitsProceeds go to the Ann Arbor Track Club (501c3) to run club activities and to support the John Rogucki Memorial Fund. The fund supports: Washtenaw Community College Cross-Country Club Sports program, Girls on the Run of Southeastern Michigan, Michigan Special Olympics, and the Ann Arbor Track Club Youth Program.
The time for Asia to beat was 1:19:26. They finished in 1:12:55, a 6min. 31 sec. PR!! Asia was 1st in her age group. Katie, who is in the next AG was 5th. Her husband John was 1st in his age group, 5th overall, with a time of 58:54. Amazing run by all three of them.
Next weekend the 501 runners who are competing in the Detroit Free Press Marathon will be running their 20 miler. Detroit is 1 month away!!
